David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 and as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1982. He has been with Bulley Davey since 1979 and at the Oundle office, where his family are local farmers, since 1983. David has retained his interest in agriculture, and continues to advise many farming clients, as well as a wide range of other family businesses and personal tax clients. David’s particular area of expertise is in personal and business Taxation, including Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning.

David has been a member of the committees of the Mid-Anglia branch of The Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Peterborough Group of Chartered Accountants for many years, and is a past chairman of both groups. He is also secretary of the Oundle & District Association of Trade & Commerce.

Away from work, David’s main interests are sport related, now mostly as a spectator, although he is still a keen skier. He has been a member of Oundle Rugby Club since it was formed in 1976, previously as a player, then a coach in the mini and junior section, and now as the Club Treasurer.
