Lawrence qualified as a chartered accountant in 1972 after serving articles with a three partner Spalding firm.  He then spent four years with a national firm at their Leicester office, moving back to Spalding to Bulley Davey in June 1976.  He became the resident partner of the firm’s Spalding office in March 1977. Lawrence retired as a partner in the firm in March 2008 but continues to be involved in the provision of accountancy services to our clients in the role of consultant to the firm.

Lawrence has a wide client portfolio involved in most areas of businesses in the south Lincolnshire areas.  He is particularly interested in the agricultural and horticultural sectors and in all businesses servicing those sectors.  In recent years Lawrence has used his experience to provide forensic accountancy support services to the legal profession. 

Outside the office Lawrence and his wife, Margaret, are kept busy with their family, their garden and their involvement in the life of Spalding.  They are both members of the local ministry team at St John’s Church in Spalding and are involved in many aspects of church life.  When he can find the time Lawrence enjoys sketching, painting and photography.
