Bulley Davey donates £1,000 to Little Miracles and announces charity of the year for 2021

Starting the year in the spirit of charity, we are pleased to announce the Bulley Davey chosen charity for 2021 is the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. Founded in 1981, Arthur Rank Hospice supports people living in Cambridgeshire with an advanced serious illness or a life-limiting condition and those in need of end-of-life care. We hope to resume our regular charity events this year in support of this essential charity.

Speaking about the announcement, Claire Smithee, Associate at Bulley Davey, said “Our hospices have had one of the most difficult years in memory in 2020 and they need all the support they can get. We’re proud to have them as our charity of the year for 2021 and we hope to raise plenty of money to support them in their essential work for people with advanced serious illnesses or life-limiting conditions.”

We support a new charity every year but following the disruption of COVID-19 plans for raising money in 2020 were put on hold. In light of this, the firm took the decision to donate £1,000 to Little Miracles charity. Little Miracles supports families that have children with additional needs, disabilities, and life-limiting conditions. Currently, over 10,436 children receive their support throughout the East of England which is completely funded by donations.

Speaking about the donation, Chris McKenna, Director at Bulley Davey, said: “We were saddened by the prospect of not being able to fundraise in our usual way last year, due to COVID-19, but we made the decision to ensure a donation was made and that an important charity like Little Miracles gets the support it deserves in this difficult and uncertain time.”
